  1. Make a 3 cm. part at the center of the forehead.
  2. Veering towards the left, continue the part to just behind their left ear.
  3. Clip or band the hair in front of the part out of the way.
  4. Beginning from 1 cm right of the first part, make a part following it, but with a less sharp turn towards the left.
  5. Clip or band the rest of the hair out of the way.
  6. Make a cornrow where you've parted.  This will be your right to left guide braid.
  7. Repeat this on the other side to make your left to right guide braid.
  8. Now beginning from the right, make a row next to your right to left guide braid.  Just braid over the left to right guide braid and continue on the other side of it.
  9. On the next row, loop the row under the left to right guide braid.
  10. Alternate over and under with each right to left row.
  11. Make as many rows as it takes going from right to left until the last row on that side begins just behind the ear, and extends to the middle of the back of the head.  It usually takes between 6 and 10.
  12. Now beginning from just 1 cm left of your guide braid, part and make a row next to your left to right guide braid.
  13. When you get to the right to left guide braid, switch to regular braiding mode, and braid enough of the length of hair to be able to cross over all of the right to left rows.
  14. Then loop this braid under and over the rows until it come out of the other side just behind the left to right guide braid, which should be just behind the right ear.
  15. Part following along the guide braid, and start cornrowing with the hair you have poking from unter the right to left rows.
  16. Repeat with the next...row, braid, loop over and under, then continue to row.
